C2SERP TREK PACKAGES

CHASM TO SERPENTINE

Complete a magnificent 6-8 day* trek from Standley Chasm to Serpentine Gorge by completing the C2SERP Trek.    The trek builds in the top tier sections 4 and 5 as well as the new Section 7 Northern Route. With no fixed food drop points, you will need to carry all your food for the duration out there.

*The trek can be completed in 4 days but 6-8 is recommended for the best experience,

especially if you split section 4 and 5 into two days each, which many hikers do.

C2SERP EXPRESS PACKAGE

The express package offers the support basics for this trek - the vehicle drop off and pick up. You can book a trek package to start or finish at either point giving you the option to go either E-W or W-E. You can add on extras such as fuel, trek food and comms hire.

TREK PACKAGE INCLUSIONS

​STANDLEY CHASM TRANSFER

A Larapinta Trail vehicle transfer to/from Standley Chasm. You can nominate whether this is your pickup or drop off point.

• Town pickups and drop offs: We pick you up or drop you off from/to your respective accommodation point but it must be within a 5km radius of Alice Springs CBD.  

• Standley Chasm pickups and drop offs: We pick you up or drop you off to/from the Standley Chasm trailhead (car park area). (Note: During drop offs, we sometimes arrive before the gate opens, so your alternate drop off point will be at the gate, about 500m from the trail.)

Key Points

• Morning Drop Off to Standley Chasm

• Depart Alice Springs: 7:00am -7:30am

• Arrive to Standley Chasm at approx 7:40am/8:10am

• Afternoon Pick Up from Standley Chasm

• Depart Standley Chasm: 2pm

• Arrive Alice Springs: Approx 2:40pm

SERPENTINE GORGE TRANSFER

A Larapinta Trail vehicle transfer to/from Serpentine Gorge. You can nominate whether this is your pickup or drop off point. 

• Town pickups and drop offs: We pick you up or drop you off from/to your respective accommodation point but it must be within a 5km radius of Alice Springs CBD.  

• Serpentine Gorge pickups and drop offs: We pick you up or drop you off to/from the Serpentine Gorge car park, which is approx 700m south from the Serpentine Gorge shelter..

Key Points

• Morning Drop Off to Serpentine Gorge: 

• Depart Alice Springs: 7:00am -7:30am

• Arrive to Serpentine Gorge at approx 9am

• Midday Pick Up from Serpentine Gorge

• Depart Serpentine Gorge: 1pm

• Arrive Alice Springs: Approx 2:30pm/2:40pm

C2SERP ESSENTIALS PACKAGE

The essentials package offers the basics as well as some key support items for this trek such as fuel and PLB hire. You can book a trek package to start or finish at either point giving you the option to go either E-W or W-E. You can add on extras such as gear hire, satcomms and much more.

PLB RENTAL HIRE

A Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) is an essential piece of kit all hikers should carry, particularly solo hikers. If you are in a serious and life-threatening emergency or situation such as a snake bite, severe heat exhaustion etc, a PLB can save your life by instantly notifying emergency services. 

In Summary

• Includes 1x PLB ( Personal Locator Beacon) for the duration of your trek

• PLB is a GME MT410G

• We register your trek details and plan with AMSA (Australian Maritime Safety Authority)

STOVE FUEL ALLOCATION

A stove fuel allocation is provided in this package. The fuel will be delivered with your containers during pre-trek.

• Solo: 2 x 100g (or 1x230g) Jetboil or 1lt Shellite or 1lt Metho

• Duo: 2 x 230g Jetboil or 2lt Shellite or 2lt Metho

• Troika: 3 x 230g Jetboil or 3lt Shellite or 3lt Metho

• All fuel is 100% new

• You can buy more fuel if you need to.
